OTM Driver Operator | LNW

Swietelsky UK, on behalf of SB Rail are currently looking for a talented On Track Plant Driver Operator for LNW Crewe South.

Duties include:

  • Operate and/or drive OTM for which certification of competency and MEP008 standards have been obtained.
  • Carry out daily and weekly maintenance of machines.
  • Attain and retain required competency stipulated by ROGS (The Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006) and other applicable standards.
  • Comply will all Rules and Regulations and observe all local conditions.
  • Work away from home to meet contractual and training requirements
  • Willingness to learn to operate a wide variety of machines as per the needs of the business.
  • Willingness to expand route competency as per the needs of the business.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent knowledge of Drivers Rules and Regulations.
  • Good route competency
  • Good knowledge of OTM operation
  • Good knowledge of Permanent Way Rules and Regulations, procedures and track safety knowledge.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Personal Track Safety, Designated Person and the ability to meet the Drivers Medical Standard are essential. Others as agreed to meet the requirements of the post.
  • Willingness to partake in further training.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  •  Excellent Team player

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an OTM Driver Operator
  • Route competency of LNW South
